State fair 2012

Maddox and I went to the fair today.  Jim had to work so it was just the 2 of us, we wish Daddy could have made it but still had a good time =)

You can barely see his expression in this one.. but if you look closely you can see him saying "ouch" b/c the goat bit him.  I don't think it was too hard but enough to startle him.

 

Riding his very favorite ride.. this was the first time but he probably rode it another 5 times throughout the day =).

 

He got to play one game so he chose the duck game. He liked playing it and won a light up sword.

I'm not a very good self photographer but here we are waiting for the pig races to start.  This was the main thing Maddox wanted to see!  It didn't disappoint, it was very cute and he still says that was one of his favorite parts.

His new prized possession, a real guitar! Ever since he played with one of my friends guitars months ago he has been asking for a "guitar with strings"... as opposed to his toy guitar with buttons.  So when we came across these guitars that were just his size I couldn't resist letting him pick one out.  That was probably the funniest part.. he tried about 10 different ones before he found the "perfect one for me" as he said.  Some weren't loud enough, some didn't strum well, but he finally settled on this one.. and loves it =).  I'm thinking this can be my story to tell about him once he becomes a musician one day!  He already told me on the way home that he needed to a music book so he could read how to play the guitar =).

And this was about 5 minutes after we left.. he was beat.. as was I!!  Early to bed for the both of us tonight =)

First day of school

 

Maddox started his new preschool this week.  We moved him to a place closer to our house... and I couldn't be happier.  He absolutely loves it and can't stop talking about how much fun he has!  I love all the things they teach them, it is just wonderful!!

 

He is very excited that he gets to pack his lunch.  He likes to do it by himself every morning =).

Granddaddy Fleenor, Maddox, and I took advantage of this beautiful weather today and fed the ducks at the pond.  Granddaddy and I used to go there all the time when I was little to fish and feed the ducks so it was very cool to take Maddox for the first time =).

 

Busch Gardens

Saturday Maddox and I had a date night to Busch Gardens.  Jim was working and this was the next to last night of the fireworks so we decided to go for the evening.  Other than being a little crowded, it was a good time.

Summer 2012... thus far

Well, well where has the summer gone???  I haven't posted since April and boy have we had a lot going on!!  Here are a few pictures to play catch up of how our summer has been.....

May 15th we became homeowners!!  We are beyond excited and love our new little home =).

A day after we closed on our house, May 16th 2012, Ashley and J.J. welcomed a new little one to the Wrobel clan... this is little Gunnar and we are just loving him to pieces!!

In June we took a short overnight beach trip... here is Makayla and Maddox being burried.

In July we added to the Gardner household... our new additions....

And my last few pictures of recent.... here is Maddox at the beach today.  Jim and I both had off so we took a day trip to the beach.  The weather was great and we had a wonderful time!!!

Needless to say we have had a busy and super fun summer so far!!  Now that we are all settled in the house I will try to do better about updating the blog =).
